Review: RYAN

Image
RYAN by Debra Webb My rating: 5 of 5 stars A Child is missing and the kidnapper will only communicate with one person, Ex-special agent Ryan McBride. After a stellar career with the FBI, McBride's career crashed and burned on the one case that he could not solve, the one victim he could not rescue. Special Agent Vivian Grace will do anything to save a child's life, even if it means working with a burned out ex-hero, a man who seems to be able to see right through her to the parts she felt she had buried a long time ago, a nightmare someone is determined to expose and use against her. Once again Debra Webb will capture you and throw you right into the middle of this heart-pounding race against time. The strength that Debra is able to infuse into her characters, Mcbride and Grace, even with their flaws and damaging pasts, is a testament to Debra's writing skills. You LIKE these characters, you WANT them to win, and you will be on the edge o...

Review: The Color of Lies

Image
The Color of Lies by C.J. Lyons My rating: 5 of 5 stars Ella Cleary has lived her life trusting in her instincts about people and her ability to read their emotions. Ella has synesthesia, a medical condition that scrambles the senses and for Ella, allows her to see the emotions of others in colors that swirl and surround everyone she comes in contact with, that is everyone except for Alec. Alec is a complete mystery to Ella, a stranger that comes into her life with secrets that will change Ella's world. As usual, this author will take you on a trip of words into a world of mystery and suspense and one totally transformed by a condition most of us probably have never heard of. The characters she writes about will tug at your heart and the ending will totally be a surprise! A big Thumbs up CJ! Loved It! View all my reviews

Review: Don't Let it Snow in Deadwood

Image
Don't Let it Snow in Deadwood by Ann Charles My rating: 5 of 5 stars It's Christmas time hilarity as Violet tries to make it to her parent's house and to her kids for the holiday while trying to keep her calm knowing that the demon that her parents call her sister is waiting to pounce! This is her and Doc's first Christmas together and her nerves are already rattled knowing her sister has already been sniffing around, and with their history, there is no telling what hell the woman is going to conjure up! It takes a village, well her entire circle of friends at least, to help Violet battle Old Man Winter and her inner demons to make it home for the holidays. Once again, I laughed out loud from the very beginning to the last page as Ann recounts a tale of Christmas went haywire in her unique style. View all my reviews
